Mende Cultural Arts Film Festival: Remember Their Names In-Person

Join us as we remember the victims of racially motivated violence in recent years. We will screen the documentary 44 Daze: Managing a City Crisis on a Worldwide Scale (2014) which chronicles the aftermath of the fatal shooting of Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Florida. Film will be followed by a discussion centered on remembering victims of shootings across the country, especially Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC. DVD of the films will be available for purchase at this event.
